About the FME-IDEAS Project

The Innovation Development and Effectiveness in the Acquisition of Skills (IDEAS) Project is a World Bank-supported initiative of the Federal Government of Nigeria, implemented through the Federal Ministry of Education (FME).

The Project's core objective is to enhance the capacity of Nigeria's skills development system to produce skills that are relevant to both the formal and informal sectors. It takes a comprehensive approach to addressing gaps in the national skills delivery framework, including closer industry involvement and stronger quality assurance.

Delivered through a network of accredited Training Service Providers (TSPs), IDEAS provides tuition-free, industry-relevant training, alongside monthly stipends, certification, and support into internships and employment or self-employment.
